Brian Padgett has devoted his entire legal career to defending private landowners who have their land taken against their will by government agencies through the power of eminent domain. Mr. Padgett practices exclusively in the field of eminent domain and has helped secure many of Nevada’s largest eminent domain awards for clients.
Since 2007 alone, Brian Padgett has represented more landowners and handled more cases than any other eminent domain attorney in Nevada and has been the lead attorney in the recovery of more than $70 million dollars in just compensation for Nevada landowners during that time. No one has more experience in repeatedly recovering the highest property values for landowners in this economic climate.
Mr. Padgett graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and served as editor-in-chief of his law journal – one of the highest honors of merit that can be attained by a law student. After graduating from law school he clerked in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada where he was schooled in all phases of courtroom practice by the longest tenured judge on the bench. Thereafter, he joined the Law Offices of Kermitt L. Waters, crafting his skills in the field of eminent domain.
Mr. Padgett formed The Law Offices of Brian C. Padgett in 2007 in order to implement new practices in the defense of landowner rights and property values. A long time resident of Las Vegas, Brian Padgett is a cancer survivor and an active supporter of childhood cancer foundations, the Fred Hutchinson Clinic and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
