John P. Shannon

John Shannon attended Seton Hall University School of Law, with Brian Padgett. After graduation, Mr. Shannon was the first judicial law clerk hired at the Eighth Judicial District Court by Judge Ron Parraguirre, now Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court.

The focus of John Shannon’s practice always has been trial litigation. John has had a varied litigation practice, including representing clients on both sides of personal injury, premises liability and product defect cases; insurance and bad faith actions; commercial issues and real property issues; employment and civil rights actions.

Mr. Shannon has represented clients in several multi-million dollar lawsuits, and has a strong record of success in the courtroom, including successfully defending clients in two of the larger jury trials in Southern Nevada in 2010. John also has represented clients in municipal and state courts in both Las Vegas and Reno, and before the U.S. District Court and in administrative proceedings before the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas, the State of Nevada and the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

John enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Jennifer, their two golden retrievers and his parents, who relocated to Las Vegas from New Jersey after retiring.
